New EECBG Grant Awards Announced
Waste Reduction Partners offers it congratulations to several WNC communities recently awarded ARRA-funded Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants (EECBG) from the State Energy Office. Waste Reduction Partners' engineers are proud to have played a role in providing technical assistance and guidance to these grant recipients. Awards included: 1. Madison County (collaborative application with Mars Hill and Marshall), $144,718 2. Asheville City Schools, $200,000 3. Clay County (collaborative application with Hayesville), $51,472 4. Graham County, $26,175 5. Graham County Schools, $199,380 6. McDowell County, $59,279 7. Pilot Mountain, $39,840 8. Western Piedmont Community College, $121,890 WRP staff and volunteers continue to work with local governments, community colleges and K-12 school systems to provide energy audits, building assessments, energy plan development, and grant-writing assistance for energy-related projects as a SEO-approved technical assistance provider. |
